Thiruvananthapuram: Domestic passenger airliner Air Sahara on Wednesday flagged off its direct flight linking New Delhi and the state capital, making it the only carrier with a direct non-stop flight between the two cities.
Senior airline officials took the opportunity to ask the Kerala government to reduce sales tax on aviation fuel in the state.
Air Sahara had plans to start services to Maldives and Sri Lanka from Thiruvananthapuram, Air Sahara President Alok Sharma said.
