Chennai: To encourage bonhomie among staff and officers of various wings under the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at Chennai, the airport Sports Control Board organised a trekking expedition to Kodai Hills.
Chennai Airport Director and President of the Sports Board Dinesh Kumar flagged off the 21-member expedition team recently at the foot of the `La Salette Church'.
The trekking started with a 2-km walk from the La Salette.
After climbing the Vattakanal Hill and getting an aerial view of the Kodai valley, the airport team climbed the Pambar Shola rain forest, Snake falls, and Pambar falls. Team members said they realised the need to undertake such tours to relieve the stress and strain of the daily grind and to gain awareness about environment protection.
