Indian high school & British Airways take off for charity

Under-privileged children in two Nairobi schools are to benefit from a charitable tie-up between Dubai`s Indian High School (IHS) and British Airways. The partnership will see 40 of the airline`s computers sent to two Kenyan schools, adopted by IHS under the patronage of the Duke of Edinburgh Programme, to aid the teaching of Information Technology.
"Eid is a charitable celebration following the Holy Month of Ramadan and it`s apt that this agreement was struck at this time to help less fortunate students beyond these shores - pupils in Kenya - and continue our support for a modern education," said Pushpa Bhatia, Principal, IHS.
British Airways says the charity tie-up is the first step in a heightened community relations campaign the airline is instigating throughout the region.
