New Delhi: Seeking to avoid inconvenience to air passengers due to delays on foggy winter mornings, the government has instructed all airline operators to provide refreshments to travellers as they wait for their flights.
"We had a meeting with the airline operators on how to tackle the fog problem and we have issued guidelines asking them to make arrangements for passengers," Director General of Civil Aviation K Gohain told reporters here at the EU India Aviation summit.
Among the measures, he said low cost carriers have been asked to provide food and other basic necessities if they could not fly out due to fog.
