Abuja: Abuja Gateway Consortium (AGC), yesterday won bid for the concession of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, with an offer of $101.1m (N13.13billion).
The consortium, made up of six foreign and local partners, is expected to pay an entry fee of $10million develop and manage the airport for 25 years and remit 18.1 per cent of its annual turnover to the Federal Government.

The consortium includes: Naira Net Technologies; Airline Services Limited; Gitto Costruzioni Generali Nigeria Limited; A.G Ferrero & Co Limited; Airport Consulting, Vienna, Austria and Airports Authority of India.
Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mrs Irene Chigbue, who announced the result at the financial bid opening ceremony, said the offer was well above the reserve price.
Chigbue said the transaction was not an outright sale, but a Public Private Partnership arrangement that will ultimately transform the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport into a major business hub in the West African sub-region.
