New Delhi: The Indian government Monday said anti-hijacking measures in major airports of the country were being reviewed following threats to blow them up.
The government also ordered a high-level inquiry into the security breach by a Kuwait Airways airplane in the national capital's no-fly zone.
"We have ordered an inquiry as to how a particular plane entered the no-fly zone," Patel told reporters after signing a deal with America's Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) for modernising the country's civil aviation industry.
The airplane strayed into the no-fly zone but was brought back to course immediately, a breach that occurred a day after airports across India were put on high alert following a warning by US authorities that a flight to Europe or the US could be hijacked.
