Mumbai: Berlin Tourism, along with Berlin Airport recently conducted a three-city road show covering New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The unique aspect of this promotion was the airports of the region joining hands with the Tourism Board to promote and market the destination. Berlin Airport aims to position itself as a potential hub for Indian aviation players.
Says Burkhard Kieher, vice-president, marketing and corporate communications, Berlin Airport, "We aim to position the airport as an alternate and also a viable and sound option for aircraft to land in Berlin. The airport has all the ingredients to make it suitable for an Indian carrier to operate flights into Berlin. We along with the Tourism Board and with the support of the Bird Group as our associates in India, aim to get into working relationships with the Indian tourism and aviation sector."
Bird Group represents Berlin Tourism and Berlin International Airport in India and functions as their official liaison office in India.
