Patiala: A specially designated court, hearing the Indian Airlines hijacking case, today asked the Tihar Jail Assistant Superintendent to produce before it all records of persons who were freed during the Kandahar crisis.
In addition to the Tihar ASP, a senior jailor of the Mumbai Central Jail appeared before the anti-hijacking court.
Earlier, the Defence counsel sought summoning of the Tihar Jail Superintendent to seek clarifications from him on whose order the three terrorists were freed to be swapped with passengers of the hijacked IA flight IC-814.
The senior jailor informed the court that most of the records were destroyed in flash floods last year in Mumbai.
Judge Inderjit Singh Walia ordered him to bring certificates from the Senior Superintendent relating to records destroyed in the floods.
