New Delhi/Bangalore: All advisories and security drills across airports in India will continue till agencies check the veracity of the threatening email.
"Intelligence and security agencies are working to find out the origin of the email and the people behind it," an Indian official said.
The latest email threat came within three days of the authorities at Trichy airport receiving an anonymous letter, written in Tamil, threatening that al Qaeda would target airports in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Though the mystery behind the letter is yet to be unravelled, officials in Delhi expressed their doubts over its authenticity.
Nevertheless, CISF is continuing with its security drill at all airports in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
