New Delhi : Hyderabad-based GMR group, the real estate sector firm is now set upon establishing Special Economic Zones in Hyderabad.
The Infrastructure group is planning to set up a multi-product SEZ with special focus on aviation-related activities in the area adjoining Hyderabad's greenfield airport.
It has earmarked a sum of Rs 1500 crore for the project. GMRs 750 acres of land in Shamshabad would be utilised for setting up of the aviation SEZ.
The Andhra Pradesh government has already given its go-ahead approval for the multi-product SEZ which involves, avionics and aviation components, aircraft maintenance, besides consumer electronics. The project now awaits the approval from SEZ board.
