Jet Airways as part of its expansion plans in the eastern region will introduce a daily morning service to Port Blair and add a fourth evening frequency to Delhi, with plans to operate a daily flight to Bangkok from January 2007.
“The city of joy has always been an integral part of our network and we are now pleased to announce expansion of our operations in view of the increasing traffic in the eastern region”, said Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Wolfgang Prock-Schauer at a Press Conference in Kolkata today. Effective November 11, 2006, Jet Airways will operate a daily flight to Port Blair. The Boeing 737-700 flight 9W 629 will depart at 0500 hrs and reach Port Blair at 0700 hrs and on the return leg 9W 630 will leave Port Blair at 0735 hrs and reach Kolkata at 0935 hrs.
