A man has been arrested for shoplifting at the duty free shop in Bahrain International Airport.
The 33-year-old Indian, who was in transit from Bombay to Khartoum, Sudan, told police he could not pay for the gifts because he did not have any Bahraini currency.He claimed he intended to eat at one of the food outlets, get Bahraini money in the change from paying for his meal and then go back to pay for the gifts, a Public Prosecution spokesman said yesterday.
