Imphal: Two persons, who were taken into custody by a police team from Imphal airport yesterday, have been identified as senior members of Manipur-based militant outfit Peoples United Liberation Front (PULF).
According to police, the duo turned out to be PULF’s deputy finance secretary self-styled “lieutenant” Md Waris Khan alias Wagi and “second lieutenant” Md Illiaz Khan. They were taken into custody while they were about to board an Air Deccan flight bound for Calcutta via Guwahati.
