Mangalore: Work on the construction of a new arrival hall at Bajpe (Mangalore) airport will be completed by April 2007, according to M.R. Vasudeva, director, Mangalore airport, Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Speaking at the valedictory function of the vigilance awareness week at the airport on Friday, he said the new arrival hall would provide more room to passengers.
Mr. Vasudeva said that besides constructing a new integrated terminal building, the AAI would build a new canopy on the city side of the airport.
He said that the AAI was creating infrastructure facilities at the airport in a phased manner. One could not expect the entire infrastructure to be created overnight.
