Madurai: Tamil Nadu IG (Intelligence) A Subramania on Saturday visited the airport here to make a personal assessment of the security arrangements in view of the reported threat by Al Qaida militants.
The official sources said the IG advised the police at the airport to be vigilant round-the-clock. The IG went upto the runway and inspected the security arrangements there along with the baggage checking system.
