The State Government of Madya Pradesh has acquired and handed over 30 and 355.66 acres of land to the Airport Authority of India(AAI) at Jabalpur and Khajuraho airports respectively, free of cost and free of all encumbrances for the development of airports there. This information was given by Shri Praful Patel, Minister for Civil Aviation in the Parliament today.
At Jabalpur Airport, construction of a New Terminal Building and strengthening and extension of runway to 6500 feet has been completed.
At Khajuraho Airport, strengthening and extension of runway to 6500 feet has been completed and construction of Integrated Terminal Building and apron etc. is in planning stage and expected to be completed by December, 2008.
