Doha: It's certainly an opportunity of a lifetime. Errol Sequeira of Mangalore, now serving with Qatar Airways as cabin services instructor in the cabin services training department in Doha, has had the unique opportunity of bearing the Asiad torch at the inaugural in Doha.
It is Errol's tenth year of service with Qatar Airways in Doha. Earlier he was with Jet Airways at Bajpe, Mangalore. Son of Jane Sequeira nee Pais (Bendur) and the late Francis Sequeira of Jeppu, Errol is an alumnus of St Aloysius College.
It is a matter of pride for the people of the entire coastal Karnataka, since he was selected from among a thousand applications from all over the world. Qatar Airways, being a travel sponsor of the Asian Games, selected ten persons among their staff to carry the torch in the relay.
