Mumbai: A passenger, who reached the city in an Air-India flight from New York died at the airport here on Thursday despite efforts by doctors.
Fortyseven-year-old Clement D'Cruz, travelling to Chennai, reached the airport in a New York-Paris-Mumbai flight of Air-India.
The passenger reached the airport at 2 am in the and boarded a Chennai-bound Indian flight at 7 am, airport officials said.
"Around 8 am, the passenger had some health problems and an airport doctor was summoned. The patient fell unconscious and the doctor had little time to rescue him," an official said.
This is the fourth incident in Mumbai in which a passenger died on the airport premises.
