Kochi: K-Air Charters, an Aviation company based at Kochi, Kerala, India with affiliates in Malaysia, UAE, Australia and Phillippines, is the first to kickstart the Air Charter business in God’s own Country as early as Dec 2005.
At the helm of this pioneering venture is a Kochinite woman, Kajal Maria Cherian. Armed with a postgraduate degree in tourism management and with her experience in the service industry, she is set to change the skies of Kerala. Ably backed by a team from the field of Aviation, Management and the Armed Forces, Kajal draws upon their strengths of experience and professionalism to achieve “Care with K-Air “ objectives in its core areas of operation.
Her goal is to promote Kerala’s untapped natural beauty and to help the tourist experience the length and breadth of “God’s own country” minus the rigors of poor transportation. Having been the sole Air Charter company for some time, K-Air Charters boasts of a Helipad database not available with any Agency in Kerala. ”It is in the months of Nov-Jan that we are chock-a-block with Charters in Kerala. Else, its Air Charters in other parts of India including a bizarre month long Cargo charter in Serbia. We are also looking to help realize quite a Corporate honcho’s dream of owning an Aircraft”,said Kajal
Apart from providing Air Charters in India, K-Air Charters is a strong player in the Asian Aircraft Sales/lease Market notching 3-4 deals per month. They have also been providing Aviation Consultancy/Management Services to many MNC's entering the Indian market. They also provide Aviation manpower, Aircraft Parts and Training Equipment to a select Clientele. Though in a nascent stage, they promote Lighter than Air Flights (Balloons and Airships)
K-Air Charters have been actively involved in the acquisition, sales, management, leasing and flight operation services of both fixed wing & rotary wing in USA, Australia, South Africa, Serbia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Korea. In the process, they have developed a reputation in the Industry for delivering expert and honest service. “Currently, we are engaged in projects like Offshore transportation, Cargo charters, Hajj transportation and Start-up Airline consultancy in Japan, Bolivia, Serbia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Korea.” say’s Koshy V C,Head-Operations.
