Muscat : Air India Express headquarters have stated that Air India Express is ready to commence operations on the Muscat- Mangalore and the Abu Dhabi-Muscat-Mangalore sectors from February 15th onwards.
All the legal formalities pertaining to the maiden International flight to Mangalore from Muscat and Abu Dhabi are completed, including the approval from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Oman.
The Oman Government had given the go ahead signal effective February 1st 2007, but Air India Express has informed them, that they will be ready to commence the maiden flight from Muscat to Mangalore only on February 15th 2007. The flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays as initially planned by Air India Express.
