Flights diverted due to poor visibility

Chennai: Poor visibility due to thick fog prompted the authorities to divert four flights scheduled to land at the Meenambakkam airport here today.
An Air India flight from Mumbai and another one from Colombo were sent back to their originating stations early this morning, airport sources said.
Two other flights from Kuwait and Sharjah were diverted to Bangalore, they added.
