Sanjay Kemka, a 46-year-old passenger travelling on the Kingfisher airways (flight number 308) on Monday, suffered severe chest pain on board.
According to Mumbai International Airport Authority limited (MIAL) spokesperson, “At 5.00pm, the medical room at terminal I-B got a call from the airport manager from terminal 1-A (arrival) stating that there is a medical emergency case in the flight.”
The spokesperson said that a doctor and an ambulance were immediately rushed to the site.
“The flight landed at 5.15 pm and reached the bay at 5.25, and the passenger was rushed to the ambulance. The medical examination was done in the ambulance itself and the patient was complaining of severe chest pain and very high blood pressure. His ECG was fluctuating. He was given oxygen and rushed to Nanavati hospital where he was admitted,” said the official.
