Bhopal: Ninety-four passengers of an Indian Airlines plane had a close shave when three of its tyres burst after landing at Raja Bhoj airport in Bhopal around 8 am on Wednesday.
The incident took place when the pilot of the Mumbai-Indore-Bhopal-Delhi IC 133 had to apply emergency brakes after spotting foxes on the runway, sources said, adding that all the passengers were safe.
"It was an extremely rough landing. Later, the pilot announced that he had to use emergency brakes because of the sudden appearance of foxes on the runway," said Sadhna Pathak, a passenger.
However, Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials denied the presence of foxes on the runway.
