Indian man deported

Manama: An Indian man detained at the Bahrain International Airport for over a week for travelling on a friend's passport was deported last night.
But Mohammed Karippodi Abdul Khader is not off the hook, since he is likely to be prosecuted in India.
Mr Khader claims that he lost his passport in Dubai where he was working earlier and managed to leave the country using an emergency exit.
He first entered Bahrain on November 4 last year on a visit visa, using his friend's passport, said Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) ex-president T Anduman, who took up the case.
He said the 28-year-old, from Kasargode, Kerala, hoped to get a job here but when he couldn't, left for India on December 28.
But he was caught at the Mumbai International Airport and authorities there sent him back to Bahrain.
