Morena: A fighter plane had met with accident on Wednesday night near Bara village under Jauara police station limits, due to some technical fault. On Thursday morning the dead body of the pilot Sqd Leader SS Tiwari was recovered. The search teams of the Indian Air Force succeeded in collecting the debris spread over an area of more than 4 kms and the black box of the plane. The cause of the accident, as of date not found.
The body of the pilot was recovered in mutilated condition. Air Force spokesperson Wing Commander, Mahesh Upasane confirmed the death of the pilot. Team also recovered the black box. The fighter plane had taken off at 7.30 pm from Gwalior air base. The pilot had lost contact with the control room while returning. The flight area was 60 kms.
The Morena radar had intimated about the accident of Miraj 2000.
