New Delhi: BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh Khiren Rijiju boarded the Jet Airways flight from Delhi to Guwahati yesterday, little knowing that a shock awaited him at the end of it.
When he was about to disembark, Rijiju, who was bound for Itanagar from Guwahati, found that his “entire hand baggage, containing Rs 1 lakh in cash, besides other belongings,” was gone.
The MP said he was still puzzled about how anyone could make off with his hand baggage from the aircraft.
Rijiju had boarded the Delhi-Guwahati flight with two family members. After a stopover at Bagdogra, the flight arrived at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi international airport around 2 pm. When he reached for his hand baggage, Rijiju found it missing.
However, Jet Airways authorities in Guwahati expressed ignorance about any such incident.
