New Delhi: Public sector oil firms have raised aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price by over 4 per cent in line with rise in international oil prices.
ATF or jet fuel prices for domestic airlines in Delhi have been raised by 4.4 per cent to Rs 37,746.92 per kilolitre, while in Mumbai the price was hiked by Rs 1649.43 per KL to Rs 39,013.31 per KL, according to Indian Oil Corp, country's largest fuel retailer.
Public sector firms - IOC, Bharat Petroleum Corp and Hindustan Petroleum Corp - had on previous three monthly revisions lowered ATF price in line with international trends.
For international airlines, who unlike domestic airlines do not pay local sales tax, the price in Delhi was raised from 620.62 dollars to 648.22 dollars per KL effective from December 1. In Mumbai, the hike was 27.38 dollars per KL to 642.73 dollars per KL.
