HCM CITY: A Vietnam Airlines aircraft carrying 297 passengers from Baku, Azerbaijan landed yesterday in Ha Noi, following a two-night stay after their aircraft made an emergency landing at the Baku airport on Monday.
A Vietnam Airlines’ Paris to Ha Noi flight had to make the landing in Baku after the crew discovered cracks on the windshield.
The Boeing 777 aircraft that was sent to Baku landed at Ha Noi Airport at 1pm yesterday, more than four hours late.Vietnam Airlines’ Press Assistant Nguyen Tan Chan said late permission from the Indian aviation authority delayed the return trip.Vietnam Airlines flight VN534 had departed from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 2 pm on Monday and was forced to land at Baku Airport at 10 pm (local time) after a flight of nearly six hours.
