New Delhi: Flight services of national carrier Indian are likely to be hit on March 12, as a section of its employees threatened to strike work demanding higher wages among other things.
The Air Corporation Employees Union (ACEU), representing 13,000 employees across the country, has served a strike notice to the Indian management and the Chief Labour Commissioner to this effect, ACEU General Secretary, Arun Kumar, said.
The ACEU represents employees from various departments including cargo, passenger facilitation, loading, unloading, ground-handling and security.
"The (Civil Aviation) Minister in an earlier meeting had assured that wages would be revised with retrospective effect from January 1997. But despite his assurances nothing has come," he said.
