The wreckage of a helicopter was been found late on Sunday night near Dagargaon village in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh state. Police strongly believes it could be the missing Eurocopter EC-135 of the Chhattisgarh government.
Efforts are being made to ascertain whether it is the same helicopter that went missing around 12:30 pm on Saturday shortly after takeoff from Bhopal. SP A. S. Chaudhary of Dindori has confirmed that a police party has been rushed to the spot.Known as Mayna - the EC-135 helicopter of the Chhattisgarh state government was returning from Bhopal to Raipur with pilots Captain A. S. Sidhu and Captain Vikram Savekar along with engineer Amitabh Soni and technician Manish Badania on board. It took off from Bhopal around noon (12:00pm) and lost contact shortly afterwards - around 12:30 pm.
