Nagpur: A Jet Airways flight carrying the entire Australian cricket team and a few Indian players made an emergency landing here after it was hit by a bird 10 minutes after take off on Monday morning.
The Nagpur-Mumbai flight returned to the airport and all the passengers were asked to disembark, airport sources said.
The team members were later accommodated in a city hotel close to the airport and the flight was grounded.
Jet officials were not available for comment.
Airline sources maintained that it was not an emergency landing but a "precautionary landing" after the flight was hit by a bird.
