New Delhi: DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, DHL Global Forwarding business unit, the market leader in air and ocean freight and also a global project logistics
services provider, has announced the appointment of two key members -Ms. Shabana Khan as Director for Airfreight and Mr. Sanjay N.Tejwani as Director for Ocean Freight segments of its Global Forwarding business.
"With their considerable experience in their respective fields, Ms. Khan and Mr. Tejwani strongly complement the existing team. Their expertise and knowledge of the region will enable us to continue strengthening our leadership position as an integrated logistics service provider," said Mr. Christoph Remund, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Lemuir Logistics.
Ms. Shabana Khan takes over from the former Director for Airfreight, Mr. Madhav Thapar, who has since assumed regional responsibilities based in Singapore. Prior to her current role, she was Director National Operations - Airfreight and has over two decades of experience working
in the industry.
Mr. Sanjay N. Tejwani brings with him a decade's experience working at A.P. Moller - Maersk Group. Prior to his joining DHL Global Forwarding, he was involved in the group's core business, with key responsibilities in Mumbai, Moscow and Chennai. He has valuable core industry exposure as a result of working in sales, customer services, operations with strong functional knowledge and management experience.
These new appointments underscore DHL's commitment to South Asia freight growth in the current challenging business environment.
