TAAI, TAFI to surrender ticket stocks to Singapore Airlines

In a meeting held yesterday in the city, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) have decided to continue withdrawal in selling tickets of Singapore Airlines and subsequently also surrender their ticket stock to the airline. The members of TAAI and TAFI, starting today, will write a mandate and submit it to their respective chapters across the country and all the Managing Committee members, chapter chairmen, secretaries and treasurers will submit the letter surrendering their ticket stocks at a pre-determined date to Singapore Airlines. TAAI and TAFI will also take consensus from IAAI to join them in surrendering ticket stocks of Singapore Airlines. The following members were present at the meeting: Rajji Rai, President; Iqbal Mulla, Treasurer; Sunil Kumar, Secretary General from TAAI and Pradip Lulla, President; Ajay Prakash, National Secretary General from TAFI.
“We will be completing 100 days of the withdrawal from selling Singapore Airlines’ tickets on the seventh of this month and we will continue to do the same till we achieve the results. Our target is to collect surrender letters from 75-80 per cent of our members and personally submit them at Singapore Airlines’ office,” informed Rajji Rai, President, TAAI.
