42 CCTVs installed at Patna airport

Patna: Forty-two CCTV cameras were installed and two conveyor belts replaced at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport on Monday.
The airport director, Arvind Dubey, said, "The installation work, which began last year, was delayed due to some technical problems. At present, the cameras have three days' storage capacity and the footage would be motioned by trained CISF personnel." The cameras installed include eight outdoor high-speed colour day/night PTZs, 13 indoor high-speed colour PTZs and 21 high-resolution fixed cameras.
Earlier, a request for installing CCTV cameras was made to the Airports Authority of India in 2010, keeping in view the growing number of passengers using the airport.
