Juhu airport to have night landing system

Mumbai: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), which manages the Juhu airport, has reiterated its plan to develop night landing facilities for aircraft at the airport. As of now, operations at the airport are only allowed until sunset.
The announcement was made earlier this month during a meeting of helicopter operators, ONGC officials and senior officials from the AAI.
However, sources present at the meeting said that AAI officials have not stated a deadline for the implementation of the facility.
Juhu airport, which is the first civil aviation airport in the country, is located in the upmarket suburb of Juhu.
