Direct Dammam-Hyderabad Air India flights sought

Dubai: Expatriate Indians living in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province have demanded that direct flights between Dammam, the province's capital, and Hyderabad in India's Andhra Pradesh state by India's flag carrier Air India be restored.
Launching a campaign over this demand, expatriate Indians from Andhra Pradesh have sent a memorandum to Indian officials in New Delhi and also met Air India's manager in the Eastern Province, Renchan Tshering, the Arab News reported Tuesday.
Members of the community said that the discontinuation of the Air India flights caused immense difficulty to them and added that around 300,000 passengers travel between Dammam and Hyderabad annually.
