In 5 yrs, Madhya Pradesh CM remained in air 1.5 hrs everyday


Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seems to be a 'highflyer', not just in terms of his achievements and growth but for his penchant for air travel.
Replying to a query by Times of India under the RTI Act, directorate of aviation, of the state government, has informed that between 2008 and 2012 Chauhan flew for about 3,000 hours—an average of about 1.5 hours a day.
Out of these, 2,200 hours of air journey was undertaken in state-owned aircraft and choppers while the rest has come at an additional cost of Rs 15 crore to the state exchequer, paid as rent for hiring chartered planes.
