IOC moves mobile ATF refullers to Uttarakhand

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corp, the nation's largest fuel retailer, today said it has moved mobile jet fuel (ATF) refuellers to six towns, including Joshimath and Gauchar, in Uttarakhand to provide fuel to choppers taking part in rescue operations in the flood-ravaged state.
IOC has moved mobile aviation refuellers over long distances in inhospitable terrain and positioned them at Joshimath, Dharasu, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Gauchar and Sahastradhara ( Dehradun) in Uttarakhand, besides at Rampur and Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, to ensure faster refuelling of the choppers that are taking part in the relief operations.
Also, back-up supplies have been arranged for these mobile refuellers to ensure uninterrupted availability of ATF to the Indian Defence Forces, IOC said in a statement here.
