Bird hit at airport delays 7 flights for 20 minutes

Chennai: Seven flights were delayed by about 20 minutes due to bird-hit at the city airport on Saturday morning.
Airport sources said the Bangkok-bound Air Austral flight was involved in a bird hit incident when it took off from the city airport at 6.50 am. However, the aircraft was not affected and passengers safe.
But since an Indigo airline pilot informed the air traffic control office about bird activity near the airport, officials temporarily stopped aircraft take offs for about 20 minutes and inspected the area.
