Air India pilots withdraw strike action after threats force management to retreat

New Delhi: section of Air India pilots, who had decided to go on "no pay, no work" agitation due to non payment of their flying allowances, today decided to postpone their 'strike action' after airline management assured them the payment.
The decision was taken after an emergency meeting of pilots associated with the Indian Commercial Pilot's Association here following assurances from the airline management about payment of their allowances.
"Airline management has assured us that they would make payment of all our due allowances by tomorrow, so we have deferred our stir," said a member of ICPA.
