GoAir going through management changes as executives quit; De Roni renews contract

Mumbai: Low cost airline GoAir is going through a change in its top management, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Jehangir Mehta, Vice President Inflight and CRM at the airline, has quit the airline in January, while the chief commercial officer of the airline, Girish Nair, is slated to leave the airline soon.
Both Mehta and Nair has cited 'personal reason' for quitting the airline.
Meanwhile, the airline's chief executive officer Giorgio De Roni, whose contact was to expire in May, has renewed his contact with the airline, the source added.
FE couldn't however ascertain the tenure of his new contact.
GoAir recorded a profit of Rs 104.34 crore in FY13 against Rs 133.72-crore loss in the previous year, on the back of changes in accounting policies with respect to aircraft lease rentals. De Roni had earlier in an interview to FE told that he is confident that the airline will post a profit for financial year 2014.
