Adilabad Airport Plan Put on Hold

Adilabad: Hopes among people arose when Adilabad’s aerodrome of 436 acres, which served as a fuelling station during the World War II, was to be developed into a full fledged airport.
The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government had identified towns across Andhra Pradesh, Jarkhand, Bihar Punjab, Rajasthan, Mahrashtra, Odisha, Assam, uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, where 20 airports could be developed.
 According to sources, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has proposed to develop 50 airports across 11 states in the country.
