Ahmedabad: As many as 155 Mumbai-bound passengers, including crew members, had a narrow escape after the flight carrying them suffered a bird-hit. It had to make an emergency landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Monday.

Ahmedabad-Mumbai GoAir flight G8-368 took off at 9.40am from the city airport and at 9.55am it reported bird-hit and landed back. "The pilot reported that there is some vibration in the right engine and asked for landing. After the landing, the runway was checked where a dead bird was found," said R K Singh, airport director.

After the technical inspection, the flight departed at 12.30pm with all passengers for Mumbai.
