Nagpur: A Sonegaon police team has arrested five people, including driver of a carrier vehicle, for their alleged role in stealing fuel meant for aviation sector on Saturday. The gang used duplicate key to unlock the fuel chambers of the carrier to steal the expensive combustible fluid before it was delivered.
Police, having earlier information, laid a trap before nabbing five members of the gang while they were in the process of siphoning off the fuel from the vehicles near fire exit of the aerodrome. It was learnt that gang later disposed off fuel as kerosene or petrol in the black market. The carrier vehicles, after refilling the tankers from Khapri, would deliver the fuel at the airport.
