Hajj flights from Srinagar resume

Srinagar: Hajj flights from flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir resumed on Saturday as 550 pilgrims from the state left for Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
"Hajj flights from Srinagar to Saudi Arabia have been resumed from today and two flights took off from the Srinagar International Airport, each carrying 275 pilgrims," Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said.
Wishing successful Hajj to the pilgrims, he said flood and torrential rains affected the normal flight schedule, but it is heartening that the process has been resumed.
