GoAir facilitated arrival of relief material’

Srinagar: During the period of floods, GoAir facilitated arrival of relief material and free passage of many trapped people. An official of the company said that the airlines ran seven flights daily. "We lifted relief materials daily for flood-affected in Kashmir from all across India. Each flight carried 5 ton of relief material. Nothing was charged for lifting this material,” he said. “The airlines and staff also contributed to the relief generously and distributed it in Srinagar and Pulwama districts," he added.
“The officials of the airline Nadeem Amin, Manzoor Ahmed and Abeed Khan rescued 70 people trapped at Peer Bagh bridge, here who were the passengers on way to the airport and had got trapped in the floodwaters.”
