Airport Naming Row: Purandeswari Flays TS Leaders

Kurnool: Former union minister D Purandeswari criticised the members of Telangana Legislative Assembly for their comments over the naming of domestic airport in Hyderabad after former chief minister NT Rama Rao at a BJP meeting held at Yammiganur town in the district on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that NT Rama Rao was a national leader who fought for the development of Telugu culture and the comments made by Telangana legislators will hurt the sentiments of Telugu people. “Though, they have the right to express their opinions over the central government’s orders, the comments made by them will bring down Telugu language, culture and history to a new low” she added.
Yammiganur YSRCP leader Devendra Goud and industrialist Narahari Reddy joined in BJP on Sunday. On this occasion, the party has organised a meeting and held a massive rally in the town.
