MIA improves ranking in customer satisfaction survey in round II

Mangaluru:  Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at Kenjar near here has every reason to cheer. In the latest customer satisfaction survey - round II (July to December) conducted by an external agency on behalf of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), MIA has improved its position from 14 in round I for first six months of this year (January to June) to eight in the latest survey, which is published on AAI website www.aai.aero.

MIA got 4.65 points out of a maximum of five to be ranked eight. Raipur with a score of 4.75 is ranked first on a five point scale in 53 airports to be ranked number one. Chandigarh (4.72), Coimbatore (4.72), Bhubaneswar (4.70), Trichy (4.70), Dehradun (4.68) are ranked second to sixth respectively. Incidentally, Udaipur and Mangaluru have identical survey scores of 4.65 each, but Udaipur pipped Mangaluru on higher facilities score.
