Plane lost balance during ‘ touch and go’ practice

Indore : During the ‘ touch and go’ practice, the Cessna- 152 plane that crashed on Wednesday morning, lost its balance and tilted towards the ground before the tragedy.

According to sources, these were the initial findings of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s ( DGCA) safety team which is probing the crash. While trying to gain height after touching the runway, the training plane lost balance and got tilted, sources informed.

Air safety officer R Rajendran of DGCA and VSP Chinson, GM, Western Region of the Airport Authority of India ( AAI) had arrived in the city airport on Wednesday evening from Mumbai to probe the crash.

The team visited the crash site at around 11 am on Thursday and thoroughly examined the area till 2 pm. D IG Rakesh Gupta, CISF Deputy Commandant H Narayan, ASP Aditya

Pratap Singh, Chief Flight Instructor of MP Flying Club Mandar Mahajan, officials of Air Traffic Tower ( ATC) and airport administration were also present during the investigation.
