Jaipur: The old terminal building of Sanganer airport here will be used to accommodate passengers of the flights diverted due to fog this winter, a senior airport official said here today.
The decision in the regard was taken to avoid chaos at the new terminal building of the airport during flight diversions.
"We will be able to accommodate 160-170 passengers at a time in old airport terminal building this year, which is presently used for cargo operations only. It will be in addition to the capacity of the new terminal," Sanganer Airport Director S N Borkar told PTI.
He said the decision in the regard and the arrangement was made in view of chaos at the new terminal witnesses during the diversions of flight from Delhi and other nearby cities.
